I gave this novel four stars because it delivered exactly what it promised: pure, edge‑of‑your‑seat entertainment. The pacing is relentless, and the action sequences are so vividly written that it’s easy to imagine every moment playing out on screen. Adams has a knack for crafting scenes that feel cinematic—sharp, visual, and charged with urgency—which makes the book incredibly fun to read even when the emotional stakes aren’t especially deep.

While the characters themselves aren’t particularly layered or complex, the novel doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. It’s a high‑octane thriller built on tension, twists, and survival, and in that lane, it excels. The straightforward motivations and clear moral lines actually help the story move at breakneck speed, keeping the focus on the escalating danger rather than internal drama. For me, No Exit was a highly entertaining ride—fast, gripping, and easy to devour in a single sitting.
