This is a story about a reclusive ex-movie star and her famous friends. The group decides to take a spontaneous trip to Lana Farrar's private Greek Island. Tragically, their picturesque holiday is upended by murder. Given that they are the only ones on the island, they are all suspects in this violent game of cat-and-mouse.
Not my favorite of his novels, but I enjoyed it. A fun, creative, unpredictable read in all the great ways I've come to expect from Alex Michaelides. I think anyone who has read Agatha Christie will feel like they know right where this novel is headed, but Michaelides makes it his own and provides all the twists and creative turns that make his work so much fun to read.
I love supporting local, independent, women-owned, and BIPOC bookstores. If you are interested in purchasing a copy of The Fury, may I encourage you to consider buying here? Bookshop (dot) org ensures that every purchase supports local and independent bookstores. Thank you!
